Dear Members,
We are now full throttle into the summer months and the heat is up. With the temperatures in the 100+ category, please make sure you are sufficiently hydrated. Drink water the night before you play, because drinking water the day of offers very little protection to prevent your body from overheating. Many golfers are playing early in the morning or late afternoon. If you are booking early morning tee times, make sure you call to cancel if you are not going to show up. The morning times are in demand and member no shows prohibit booking non-members/public. If you make a turn time, make sure it accommodates your start time or you might have to wait to start your second round. There will be times we are busy and you will need to pair up on carts. We will accommodate when possible, but when we can’t please follow the directions of the staff.
Update on the sale of Desert Mirage to Blue Jeans Golf. The Glendale City Council approved all the documentations needed to approve the sale of Desert Mirage Golf Course & Practice Center. The new owners will take over operations on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The company’s name is Blue Jeans Golf LLC at Glendale and their brand is Golf Ranch. Therefore, Desert Mirage will be known as Golf Ranch at Desert Mirage. During the transition, there will be very few changes to our operational processes at this time. Several phases to the operation will be implemented as we progress in the transition. The driving range will be totally renovated with the introduction of Trackman technology. We are excited about the changes projected to take place to the range and facility. I will keep you informed as we develop a viable strategic plan for continual improvement of our golf course and facility for your recreation and enjoyment.
