Desert Mirage Members,
As 2019 ends, Desert Mirage Management and Staff extends a gracious “thank you” for your membership, business and friendship. We look forward to continuing our service as we enter 2020. As I share with our Team, we should never become satisfied with good service, when better service is available and excellent service is possible. We will continue to strive for excellence in serving you, so please give us your feedback. We are developing a comment card for sharing with us your good, bad or ugly experiences while at the Club. Our purpose is to accommodate and assist in your enjoyment from arrival to departure.
December has been a rainy month and we are anticipating sunshine and warmer temperatures during January. The rain was great for the golf course and the ducks, but not so much for the play. We are continually encouraging everyone to utilize with the 90-degree rule on all Par-4’s and remain on cart paths for Par-3s…please, no short cuts on Par-3’s!
January will bring about more “frost delays,” so adjust your tee times. Most of the time, we will be able to start between 9-10am. However, we must be flexible because we are dependent upon the thawing process. By sending golfers out too early and frost is still prevalent, it can damage the plant and we will live with that damage through spring. Therefore, we will attempt to get you out earlier, but want to error on the side of caution and prevention. Also, a few gentle reminders: continue to repair your ball mark on the greens + one more, use sand bottles to fill fairway divots, drive along the left side of fairway of #6, but off fairway, and please do not drive carts in or beyond roped off areas or extremely wet areas. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If your Membership is expiring this month, please stop by the Golf Shop to complete a short Renewal Form at your convenience. On another note, you have the option to use the Member Portal on the Website to make tee times and access the “The Oasis” Monthly Newsletters. The Member password is golf. Or, see Golf Staff to make your time.
Happy New Year and I pray you have a year of enjoyment, good health, new friends and prosperity. Many tell me there is more to life than money and I tell them it might be…but money ranks right next to oxygen; you need it to survive!
Until next time….don’t let yesterday take up too much of today!
